Clausen was waived by the Bears on Monday. He played in two games with Chicago this season, starting once.
Analysis: The six-year veteran was chosen by Carolina in the second round of the 2010 draft after playing college ball at Notre Dame. Clausen has played in 19 games, starting 12. He has five touchdown passes and 11 interceptions over his career.

Analysis: The former Notre Dame star was terrible in his lone start this season, throwing for a paltry 63 yards in place of an injured Jay Cutler in a 26-0 loss at Seattle on Sept. 27. David Fales was promoted from the practice squad to serve as Cutler's new backup.
|Sep. 21, 20152:05 PM PT3:05 PM MT4:05 PM CT5:05 PM ET21:05 GMT5:05 AM 北京时间2:05 PM MST4:05 PM EST4:05 PM CT1:05 UAE (+1)17:05 ET20:05 - Clausen is taking all the snaps at practice so far this week as Chicago prepares for Sunday's game at Seattle. The Bears are not expected to officially announce Clausen as the starting quarterback until Friday. But he is doing all the first-team work while Jay Cutler nurses a strained hamstring.
Analysis: Clausen says he doubts playing at Seattle will be intimidating after he had to endure 10 starts as a rookie with a 1-9 record in Carolina under current Bears coach John Fox. Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase said the staff has to do a better job of playing to Clausen's strengths than they did in last week's loss to Arizona after Cutler left with his injury.
|Mar. 6, 201511:50 AM PT12:50 PM MT1:50 PM CT2:50 PM ET19:50 GMT3:50 AM 北京时间12:50 PM MST2:50 PM EST1:50 PM CT23:50 UAE14:50 ET18:50 - The Chicago Bears and quarterback Jimmy Clausen have agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2015 season. The Bears announced the move on Friday.
Analysis: Clausen appeared in four games and made one start for Chicago late last season after former coach Marc Trestman benched Jay Cutler. He completed 26 of 48 passes for 223 yards, had two touchdowns and one interception. Clausen has zero fantasy value.
