The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Monday because the Dolphins hadn't commented on the test results.
Analysis: Pouncey left Sunday's game against the New York Giants in the second half with a neck injury after taking a blow to the head. He said that he briefly couldn't feel his legs, but that he felt fine after the game. With Pouncey out, the Dolphins gave up four sacks in the fourth quarter, blew a late lead and lost to fall to 0-7. They play Sunday at Kansas City.
July 30 6:50 PM PT7:50 PM MT8:50 PM CT9:50 PM ET1:50 GMT9:50 AM 北京时间6:50 PM MST8:50 PM EST7:50 PM CT5:50 UAE (+1)21:50 ET - Pouncey has signed a contract with Miami after missing the first two days of practice in training camp.
Analysis: With the signing Saturday, all of the Dolphins' draft picks are under contract. Pouncey, projected to start at center for Miami, started 45 games for Florida and was the 15th overall pick in the draft. His twin brother, Maurkice, made the Pro Bowl as a rookie center for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season.
Apr. 28 8:57 PM PT9:57 PM MT10:57 PM CT11:57 PM ET3:57 GMT11:57 AM 北京时间8:57 PM MST10:57 PM EST9:57 PM CT7:57 UAE (+1)23:57 ET - Pouncey pledged to be drafted sooner than his brother - and was. Now that he's joining the Dolphins as their first-round pick, Pouncey's eager to follow his identical twin Maurkice to the Pro Bowl at center.
Analysis: The Dolphins hope to slide the 6-foot-4, 310-pound Pouncey into the starting lineup as a rookie. They took the former Florida Gator with the 15th overall selection. "I know I'm coming in with big expectations because of all the success my brother has had," Mike said Thursday. "I feel like we're the same player. I've got some big shoes to fill, but I think I can fill those shoes."
