But Thursday's civil hearing on the protection order was delayed until March 12.
Analysis: Randle was arrested Feb. 3 on the drug charge at a hotel in Wichita after the 22-year-old mother of his child called 911 to report a domestic disturbance. Dalia Jacobs told police he brandished a gun and broke a car window during the altercation at a Wichita hotel. She filed for a protective order the next day, claiming Randle pointed a gun at a vehicle with their son and Jacobs' friend inside.

Dalia Jacobs placed two of three 911 calls early Tuesday after an altercation at a Kansas hotel in which Jacobs said Randle had broken a window of her car. No charges related to domestic violence have been filed.
Analysis: The Wichita Eagle reports Jacobs went to the hotel so Randle could see their baby. The newspaper obtained recordings of the 911 calls after filing an open records request. In the first call, Jacobs urged the dispatcher to send someone quickly but not tell Randle who had called. A different woman made the second call. In the third, Jacobs said everything was fine.

Analysis: The 22-year-old mother of Randle's child filed for a protective order Wednesday in district court in Wichita, saying the incident occurred the same night the 23-year-old Randle was arrested on a marijuana possession charge at a hotel. He was not taken into custody Tuesday on the drug charge. No charges related to domestic violence have been filed. Police dropped the marijuana charge Friday, but spokesman Lt. James Espinoza says other charges are possible.

Analysis: Police spokesman Lt. James Espinoza said the charge, suspicion of marijuana possession, was dropped Friday because there were some inconsistencies. Espinoza said dropping the charge allows them to present any charges that result from the ongoing investigation to prosecutors at one time.
