TURNBERRY, Scotland (AP) Fred Couples won the Senior British Open by two strokes over Gary Hallberg on Sunday after shooting a 3-under 67 in the final round.
The 1992 Masters champion sank a 25-foot birdie putt on the last to hold off Hallberg after overnight leader Bernhard Langer dropped five shots in five holes on the way home to slip down into the chasing pack.
English pair Carl Mason (66) and Barry Lane (69) and Dick Mast of the United States (67) were a further three shots back.
