Analysis: Straily has struggled so far this season, going 1-2 with a 4.93 ERA in seven starts. Straily's departure could keep Drew Pomeranz in the rotation. Pomeranz pitched five scoreless innings to help the A's win the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
