(AP) -- Even though they're facing the AL's worst rotation, the New York Yankees could be in trouble without their top run producer following an overall poor showing at home.
With first baseman Mark Teixeira still out due to injury but a new third baseman on the way, the Yankees look to bounce back Tuesday night against the lowly Texas Rangers.
Looking for more offense, the Yankees acquired the Padres' Chase Headley for infielder Yangervis Solarte and right-hander Rafael De Paula on Tuesday. Headley is hitting .229 with seven homers and 32 RBIs but has a .339 average in his last 13 games. He was a Gold Glove winner two years ago, when he hit .286 with 31 homers and a NL-leading 115 RBIs.
