Analysis: Lin was 6 of 7 from the floor and deserved more shots but, of course, Kobe Bryant was on the floor and he decided to hog the ball in the fourth quarter. Don't use Lin in fantasy action if Bryant is healthy.

Analysis: The Lakers are searching for answers so expect Lin to continue to get major minutes for this once-proud franchise that has fallen on hard times.
July 13 10:20 AM PT11:20 AM MT12:20 PM CT1:20 PM ET17:20 GMT1:20 10:20 AM MST12:20 PM EST21:20 UAE19:2013:20 ET12:20 PM CT16:20 - Lin has joined the Lakers in a trade with Houston along with first- and second-round draft picks in 2015 for the rights to center Sergei Lishchuk. The Lakers made the deal official Sunday.
Analysis: Lin will make about $15 million this season in the last year of a deal that counts only $8 million against the salary cap. The Lakers have cap room to absorb Lin's contract. Lin averaged 12.5 points and 4.1 assists last season but lost his starting job. The Harvard player was born in Los Angeles and figures to be popular with the city's large Asian community.

Analysis: Two people with knowledge of the deal tell The Associated Press that the Rockets still plan to execute the trade that will send the point guard to Los Angeles for cash considerations. The people requested anonymity because the trade has not been officially announced.
