Analysis: Bennett, the No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft, underwent successful tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy procedures at the Cleveland Clinic on Tuesday, the team said. Bennett had a disappointing rookie season with the Cavs, averaging just 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 52 games.

Analysis: It was a rough rookie season for the overall No. 1 pick, who can be considered an early bust.
|Feb. 28 3:27 PM PT4:27 PM MT5:27 PM CT6:27 PM ET23:27 GMT7:27 4:27 PM MST6:27 PM EST3:27 UAE (+1)00:2718:27 ET5:27 PM CT22:27 - Bennett missed the Cavaliers' game against Utah on Friday night because of a sore right knee, adding to the team's long list of injuries.
Analysis: Bennett, the top pick in the draft last year, is averaging 4.0 points and 3.1 rebounds in 12.9 minutes a game. The team said Bennett will be a game-time decision Saturday night at Memphis.

Analysis: Bennett has been a major disappointment as the No. 1 overall pick, but he's now reached double figures in four of eight games.
|Jan. 29 5:27 AM PT6:27 AM MT7:27 AM CT8:27 AM ET13:27 GMT21:27 6:27 AM MST8:27 AM EST17:27 UAE14:278:27 ET7:27 AM CT11:27 - Bennett finally cracked double figures in points in Tuesday's loss to the Pelicans.
Analysis: Bennett had 15 points and eight rebounds in a stunning effort for a player who has been among the league's worst. The Canadian did not play in six of the Cavs' previous seven games, but the beleaguered No. 1 pick for once did not look lost on the court as he tries to revive his struggling career.
|Dec. 20 6:12 PM PT7:12 PM MT8:12 PM CT9:12 PM ET2:12 GMT10:12 7:12 PM MST9:12 PM EST6:12 UAE (+1)03:1221:12 ET8:12 PM CT0:12 - Bennett missed his second straight game Saturday due to the flu.
Analysis: It's not certain when the Cavaliers forward and No. 1 overall draft pick will return.
|Nov. 8 1:06 PM PT2:06 PM MT3:06 PM CT4:06 PM ET21:06 GMT5:06 2:06 PM MST4:06 PM EST1:06 UAE (+1)22:0616:06 ET3:06 PM CT19:06 - Bennett has been beyond terrible for Cleveland this season although he ended Canada's nightmare with his first basket in his fifth game.
Analysis: The No. 1 pick in the draft has somehow misfired on 19 of 20 shots with 11 attempts coming from 3-point range. He is not a good shooter anyway and fantasy owners have every right to be upset since they figured he would be trying to get easy baskets rather than chuck away. The Canadian has shown some defensive ability with six steals but one assist shows that he can't pass either.
|Oct. 17 5:00 PM PT6:00 PM MT7:00 PM CT8:00 PM ET0:00 GMT8:00 5:00 PM MST7:00 PM EST4:00 UAE (+1)02:0020:00 ET7:00 PM CT23:00 - Bennett, the top pick in this year's NBA draft, has asthma and sleep apnea. Coach Mike Brown revealed Bennett's conditions Thursday night before the Cavs hosted Detroit in an exhibition game.
Analysis: Bennett's asthma was not widely known and obviously did not prevent the Cavs from taking him in June's draft. Bennett has had some breathing issues during workouts and in preseason games, and him being sometimes winded had been attributed to him not being able to work out as much this summer after undergoing shoulder surgery in May. Brown said Bennett's breathing issues are noticeable.
|Aug. 20 1:14 PM PT2:14 PM MT3:14 PM CT4:14 PM ET20:14 GMT4:14 1:14 PM MST3:14 PM EST0:14 UAE (+1)22:1416:14 ET3:14 PM CT19:14 - The Cavaliers have signed Bennett, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, to his guaranteed rookie contract.
Analysis: Financial terms were not immediately known, but the deal can be worth up to $22.8 million over four years. Bennett was somewhat of a surprising selection by the Cavaliers, who believe the 6-foot-8, 240-pounder from UNLV can play power forward. He's recovering from shoulder surgery, but the Toronto native is expected to be ready for the start of training camp. He averaged 16.1 points and 8.1 rebounds as a freshman with the Runnin' Rebels.
