Veteran Adrian Aucoin left with an injury in the second period of Monday night's 4-3 overtime victory over Colorado that moved the Blue Jackets into a tie with Detroit for eighth place in the West. Analysis: The 22-year-old Savard played three games with Columbus earlier this season. He has five goals and 26 assists in 60 games with Springfield this season. Savard has two goals and eight assists in 34 career NHL games, all with the Blue Jackets, who picked him in the fourth round of the 2009 draft. |

A native of St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Savard was selected by the Blue Jackets in the fourth round, 94th overall, of the 2009 draft. The 6-foot-2, 219-pound defenseman has two goals and eight assists in 34 career NHL games, all with Columbus. |
